Dr. Pradeep Moonot recently returned from an enriching professional journey to Baltimore, USA, where he spent two intensive weeks training alongside Dr. Lew Schon, a globally acclaimed leader in foot and ankle surgery. Working in close collaboration with Dr. Clifford Jeng, Head of the Mercy Foot and Ankle Centre, and other esteemed consultants, Dr. Pradeep Moonot deepened his expertise in a range of advanced orthopaedic procedures.
During this period, he honed his skills in deformity corrections, reconstructions, Zimmer total ankle replacements, and the management of Charcot foot with external frames, supported by cadaveric lab practice. A special highlight of the visit was attending the Journal Club, where the team discussed a research paper authored by Dr. Moonot himself - an affirming moment in his academic journey.
He also took time to explore Washington, D.C., visiting key landmarks and paying homage at the renowned Johns Hopkins Institute.
A truly humbling moment came when he was referred to as the "Roger Mann of India" - a nod to the legendary figure in American foot and ankle surgery. Grateful and inspired, Dr. Moonot continues his pursuit of excellence, bringing world-class knowledge back to his practice in India.
