Managing Severe Flat Foot Deformity in Elderly Patients
Flat foot:
What are your views in managing such a severe deformity?
72 years old active lady complaining of severe pain on both feet, but left more than right, difficulty in walking. Have tried all pain killers, orthotics and conservative measures.
Question
- Would you do a double or triple fusion?
- Single medial approach or two separate incisions - lateral and medial?
- Peroneal brevis tenotomy or lengthening?
- Anything else?
