Case Discussion Series
What would u do?
72 yr old male, Diabetic (controlled) with injury to the left ankle.
The primary surgeon treated this in a cast and patient started walking.
Patient presented to me at 6 weeks post injury with a displaced ankle in valgus.
No other medical comorbities.
X-rays and CT scan attached.
What should be the plan:
- Continue with conservative treatment (cast/walker boot)
- Reconstruct the ankle. if yes, what will be ur plan (anterior/posterior)
- Ankle fusion
- TTC nail. If yes, open or percutaneous
